Halloween Poem

Dark, whispy clouds drift past the moon tonight
A fog wraps the land in a chilling cold bite
A Swirl of distant howling echoes all around
Footsteps lightly crunching leaves on the ground

The wind whispers a breath of stilllness
Its frozen fingers brush skin with its kiss
An eerie laugh just brief and haunting
Innocent yet dark and daunting

A crawling shiver stands hairs to tingle
Hearing this nights ghostly jingle
For Halloween's hold is now descending
To trick or treat for ever ending

you really "see" the visual, feel the damp cold, and hear the footsteps. very nice.
